Flaming blow will be released on October 17 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam, publisher Aksys Games and developer RareBreed Makes Games announced.
There will also be a limited edition available, which includes a full-color artbook, a double CD soundtrack, and a set of collectible character cards.

Inspired by classic arcade fighting games from industry giants like Capcom and SNK, developer RareBreed Makes Games’ upcoming 2D fighting game evokes the excitement and nostalgia of the 2D pixel art genre’s pioneers while blending a unique gameplay system with modern mechanics.
Flaming blow features a four-button system with six normal attacks: light, medium, and heavy punches and kicks, as well as three defensive moves: block, guard, and parry. A Rush Trigger allows fighters to perform quick attacks and moves, but using it will slowly drain the Rush Meter, temporarily putting the character in a dizzy state. This allows players to perform exciting combos while managing the Rush Meter. The game features three game modes: Story Mode, Arcade Mode, and VS Mode, with training, sparring, and online matches via Persona AI, and online play powered by GGPO.
